I started the PL consultancy business following two major developments in my life; leaving BT after 30 years and moving home to Italy. To be honest the two events didn't happen simultaneously; you know, as part of some grand plan. But once you start making big personal decisions, it's amazing how intoxicating the process becomes.

So here I am, head of my own company for the first time in my life and just loving the freedom to choose the work I really, really want to do. Same time, I now know what it's like not to be salaried and boy does it sharpen the senses. But what a feeling knowing you've got to deliver or... no fagioli on the table.
