Hospitality activity

I'm slightly embarrassed but has anybody been doing this stuff for as long as me (with as much impact and enthusiasm?). An early major event was entertaining 150 key channel customers at Brands Hatch in Cellnet's dedicated hospitality unit, when Nigel Mansell won the Grand Prix of Europe. What was that, 1987?

OK then, let's talk

Since then I've managed some sublime events at many of the major venues in the UK and abroad wherever possible tapping in to exclusive opportunities presented by sponsorship activity (Damon Hill's first GP win at Silverstone, England rugby team private dinner at the Houses of Parliament following return as World Cup Champions, dinners at the top of the BT Tower with Olympic champions/1966 World Cup winners).

But perhaps the most important thing I've done is to deliver a cross- company strategic programme of events within a major corporate, delivering greater impact at significantly reduced cost compared with the previously haphazard, duplicative, unmeasured and wasteful series of events undertaken on a narrowly-focused divisonal basis.

Sponsorship activity

I was truly knocked out to receive the coveted 'Hollis Sponsorship Personality of the Year' award for 2006, not least by being introduced as 'the person behind some of the industry's most talked about sponsorship initiatives'.
